On Sunday 8 December, they will be marking the 150th anniversary of Jæren Skog with a family day in Njåskogen. Food will be served, forest information will be given by a forest manager, tractor rides with Jæren Gråtasslaug and an anniversary run for children and young people.
Together with the orienteering group of Frøyland IL, P. Undheim and Jæren Sparebank, children and young people from all over Jæren are invited to mark the anniversary with an anniversary run on the same day. Together they will run 150 kilometres in Njåskogen and experience the best qualities of the forest through orienteering. Everyone taking part in the race will help to create the anniversary marker that will be placed in the forest. It is a dead tree into which 150 holes will be drilled and 150 anniversary pins inserted. The tree will be left as a lifecycle stump for biodiversity as well as being the marker for 150 years of forestry in Jæren Forest.

12:00 The event starts with official marking
12:30 Tractor ride with Jæren Gråtasslaug all day.
SEK 25 per passenger VIPPS to Jæren Gråtasslaug.
12:30 Forest walk with David Njå.
2-hour hike with forest manager.
