En musikalsk reise gjennom Chopins liv

Concert pianist Greg Niemczuk performs "A Musical Journey Through Chopin's Life" at Sola Kulturhus.

The Polish master pianist Greg Niemczuk has visited Sola Kulturhus many times, always to great enthusiasm from the audience. This October, he returns to the cultural house with a new concert. Greg Niemczuk, who won 1st prize at the National Chopin Competition in 2010, will this time focus on his favorite composer, Frédéric Chopin.

Greg will take the audience on a magical journey through Frédéric Chopin's life. The first part will feature works by the young Chopin, written while he was still in Warsaw. Here, Chopin was happy, experiencing his first love, conquering the concert halls of Warsaw, and his star shone ever brighter. The second part will be filled with Chopin's greatest masterpieces, mainly written in Paris.

We will hear some of Chopin's greatest works, such as the poetic Ballades No. 3 and 4, the dramatic Scherzo No. 1, virtuosic études, and the monumental "Heroic" Polonaise—a true audience favorite.

As always, Greg Niemczuk will not only play the piano but also share stories about Chopin's life and the works performed. It will be a celebration of Chopin's music played by a Chopin master.
