Ogna Scene is delighted to have this superb trio at Ogna Scene, last time they took Ogna Scene by storm to say the least!
You can't mention the name Chris Gray & The BlueSpand without immediately thinking of a funky flavour in your mother's jam, but that's no wonder either, as their hit Mamma's Mammalaid has been seen and heard more than 2.5 million times on Facebook and over 100,000 times on YouTube!
The small acoustic live videos have touched the hearts of many people. Partly because of their honesty, and partly because of the band's ability to make something simple sound good and swing as in
I h ......!
Swedish drummer Snowy Shaw (Mercyful Fate) shared Chris Gray & The BlueSpand's live video ‘Grab'm by the elbow’ and wrote: ‘This isn't even a genre I like, but if you're not feeling this track, you're probably dead already’.
‘Grab'm by the albow’ has more than 1 million views, and together with its sequels Golden Tower, Mammas Mammalaid and Beat around the Bush have generated over 5 million
views.
The viral video hits have reached far beyond the country's borders, and the Odense trio is in demand abroad. In 2018 alone, there have been concerts in Sweden, Norway, Kosovo, Poland, Latvia,
Poland, Latvia, Germany and Macedonia, and several of them have even headlined major festivals.
The recipe is simple!
Take a large bucket (preferably blue). Fill it with equal parts funk, soul and rock. Stir it deeply with a tight and firm hand, sprinkle with some blues and top with a twinkle in your eye. Bake in a warm rehearsal room at about 20 degrees (centigrade) for 7 years, and there you have it: Chris Gray & The BlueSpand.
