Zum Hauptinhalt

Tora Augestad is one of Norway's foremost vocalists and stage artists, and when she takes the stage together with a group of outstanding musicians, this is a performance that no one leaves untouched. Together with pianist and composer Trygve Brøske, clarinetist Rolf Borch, and the Ålesund String Quartet, she performs German cabaret music from one of Europe's most intense and historic periods.

From Vienna to Berlin, they take us back to the interwar period - the years from 1923, when the Løvenvold Theater was built, to Hitler's rise to power ten years later. Through raw, unadorned and emotionally charged interpretations, they bring life to music that originated in a time marked by chaos, artistic explosion and turbulent social changes. The cabaret was more than entertainment – it was an important art form, a commentary on a world on the edge of the cliff.

This is a rare chance to experience a world-class artistic display - a performance that moves, challenges and entertains. Tora Augestad is known for her magnetic presence and ability to convey complex emotions through her music. With Trygve Brøske at the piano and the Ålesund String Quartet as the foundation of the musical expression, this is an evening that will stay with you long after the last note.

Welcome to a historic musical journey at Løvenvold Theater - an event you don't want to miss!
