Fransk på Norsk med Britt-Synnøve Johansen

Britt-Synnøve loves French chansons. She adores Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, Jacques Brel, Barbara, Charles Aznavour, and all the other French music legends. There's something about the way they sing, the melodies and lyrics—these songs simply aren't made anymore.

Britt-Synnøve also loves to sing these songs, and on this evening at Sola Ruinkirke, she will bring forth a wealth of French melodies that are made for her voice.

Britt-Synnøve firmly believes that the distance from the Champs-Élysées in Paris to Storhaug in Stavanger is shorter than the map suggests. She intends to convince the audience of this in a concert that strikes at the heart and gut, featuring her own songs from her French-inspired album MØRK SALONG (2022) alongside traditional French chansons that she has translated into her own Western dialect.
