Baritone saxophonist John Pål Inderberg has left a significant mark on both Norwegian and international jazz for many decades. With a spontaneous expression, he has toured extensively, delighting audiences with playful musicianship and a great sense of humor. Inderberg has developed a strong stylistic understanding that combines Norwegian and American influences with a rare depth.

The trio he leads, featuring Håkon Mjåset Johansen and Trygve Waldemar Fiske, has released three albums drawing inspiration from American cool jazz, Dadaism, and Norwegian folk music. John Pål is known for his collaborative spirit with other musicians. He is an outstanding educator and has contributed to the emergence of jazz musicians in Norway. He frequently tours with students and has recorded with various artists, including Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, and Henning Sommerro.

Collaborating Artists: Håkon Mjåset Johansen, a former student of John Pål, has established himself as an accomplished musician in his own right. A highlight came in 2014 when Chick Corea joined him for the DNB Prize concert at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival.

Trygve Waldemar Fiske has made a name for himself as one of the most skilled bassists of his generation. He regularly tours with the Hanna Paulsberg Concept, Waldemar 4, and Ine Hoem, and has also excelled as a composer.

Now, the trio will draw inspiration from Canadian trumpeter Ingrid Jensen. After studying jazz at Berklee College of Music, she has been a leading trumpet player on the global jazz scene for 30-40 years and is a sought-after educator. She blends her musical influences with playfulness, showcasing a broad repertoire that includes the composition "Dear John," influenced by John Coltrane, and "I Fall in Love Too Easily," which reflects Freddy Hubbard's style.
