Konsert: Gjenferd // Mellombels

On 10 May, Bergen band Gjenferd released their self-titled debut album on Apollon Records. The album was ranked 4th in the Doom Chart's best albums for May 2024, and the and the single 'Starless' received a 5-star rating in Dagsavisen and Bergens Tidende. The band draws inspiration from the childhood of heavy rock, when Hammond organs and walls of guitar amplifiers dominated the stages. Long evenings of noise, obscure 70s records and rigging up overly heavy Fender Rhodes have resulted in an resulting in an album that is a sonic explosion of sluggish, hard-hitting riffs, electric noise and idiotically catchy vocal harmonies. Gjenferd consists of members from Kryptograf, Edvard Borneo, Metusalem, and former bassist in SKAAR.
