Rock poet Tom Roger Aadland will hold a solo concert in Sola Ruin Church on Thursday, October 24th, featuring Aadland and Dylan on the program. His latest album, Motgift (Antidote), has received rave reviews. "The country's leading Dylan interpreter delivers some great songs on his own," writes Aftenposten. Vårt Land calls the album "a strong remedy against indifference and superficiality," while Stavanger Aftenblad describes it as "an over-the-counter cure for what ails you." Dagsavisen believes "it would be fitting for Bob Dylan to record these songs in English." Klassekampen calls the album "the best Aadland has ever done."

His previous studio album, Songfugl (Songbird), also received great acclaim, and the single "Alle dei i ei" (All of Them in One) was frequently played on Norwegian radio. Currently, Tom Roger Aadland is involved with Det Norske Teatret, where his Dylan translations are a hit in the show Vikla inn i blått (Tangled Up in Blue). His double album Blondt i blondt (Blonde on Blonde) was named Album of the Year by P1 Norsk på norsk when it was released. Aadland is also known as a lyricist for artists such as Hellbillies, Vamp, and Marion Ravn.

His Dylan translations have resonated with many, and when the new bishop in Stavanger was consecrated, Dylan songs sung by Aadland were her musical request, with His Majesty The King among the audience. He was also one of the selected artists in a televised NRK concert when Dylan turned eighty. Tom Roger Aadland is still on the road—and still on his way. He is known as an energetic performer with a special ability to convey the meaning of a song and has a reputation for always delivering the goods on stage.
