The tradition of song and poetry has deep roots in Haugalandet. For more than 2000 years, we who live on the far "edge of the country" (quote Kolbein Falkeid) have had a fondness for text-based artistic expression. Today, the festival aims to create a literary festival where poets and lyricists are on an equal footing. All performers are invited on the basis of their literary qualities. The long-term goal is to gradually develop into a Nordic meeting place for poetry and music. So you know!
