The day-trip cabin Fløgjen is one of two day-trip cabins in Kinn municipality. The cabin has a view of Norddalsfjorden, east towards Eikefjord, and west towards Florø and the Islands to the west and south. The hike is family-friendly.

How do I get to the day trip cabin?
From rv5 Florø / Førde: take an exit at Grov to fv614 against Svelgen. After 1 km you will come to a transformer station. You take the first exit on the right after the transformer station to find parking. If you come by bus, you can get off at the same place.
Tour description to the day trip cabin Fløgjen
At the car park, follow the forest road, and just before you reach the end of the road, turn left. The path is not marked up in the forest, but it is clear in the terrain. This is the path that leads to Hatlesetnipa. There are a couple of smaller marshy areas along the path in the forest. When you get over the forest line, the path steepens a bit, before it flattens out somewhat, and you see the cairn at Fløgjen on the left.
The trip up to the day trip cabin takes about an hour. It is 2.3 km one way. The cabin is located at 444 m above sea level. It is not allowed to spend the night in the cabin
