You can find numerous beautiful bike routes in both Aurland and Flåm that will guarantee panoramic views. With an E- Bike from Fjordsplorer, you will get from A to B in no time.
Flåm
One of the many alternatives in Flåm is to bike to Otternes Bygdetun, and enjoy a good lunch with local ingredients, all while having breathtaking fjord view the whole bike ride.
Another good alternative is simply to bike up the Flåm Valley. If you choose to bike on the right side of the river, you can do a pit stop along the way and hike up to the amazing waterfall. This is approximately a 30 min hike.
If you continue up the road, you will reach Flåm stave church. From there you can continue even further up the Valley, and race the famous Flåmsbana/ Flåm Railway.
Aurland
There are many beautiful bike routes to choose from in this town as well. If you are up for a challenge, you can bike all the way up to the famous viewpoint Stegastein. This route is uphill the whole way, so it can be a bit tough, but with an E-bike you might manage without shredding a drop of sweat. On this route you have beautiful fjord view the entire ride, so you do not even have to pedal that far before you get prima views. Be aware though, this route is steep and can get very packed with traffic, so pay attention and ride carefully.
Another spectacular bike route is simply to follow the “fjord path”, and bike all the way to the end to Skjerdal. Park your bike, and do a short hike up to Leim Stølsysteri and café. Here you can experience life at a Norwegian mountain farm, taste traditional and local food, and meet farm animals.
