The journey crosses Borgundfjorden, famous for its cod fishing season from February to April. Along the way, you’ll experience beautiful views of the fjord and the surroundings of Ålesund. We recommend combining the boat trip with a visit to Langevåg town centre and Devoldfabrikken, which is just a short walk from the expressboat terminal in Langevåg.

About Devoldfabrikken
Did you know that Devoldfabrikken in Langevåg was the first factory in Sunnmøre to have electricity? Devold was also among the first in Norway to use the telephone, a milestone that happened when production moved from Ålesund to Langevåg.
Today, Devoldfabrikken houses several outlet stores, including Bergans, Swims, Porsgrund Outlet, and by\Sunde. At Kantina, you can enjoy a café experience in a setting inspired by the factory’s history. You can also visit the Devold Museum, a textile museum that tells the story behind Devold of Norway.
Hiking in the Area
If you have time, you can explore Sulafjellet, which has several peaks, including Blåfjell, Rollonhytta, and Vardane. Hikes can range from a couple of hours to a full day. If you prefer a coastal walk, you can take a scenic route from Langevåg towards Sandvika and beyond. For more information on hiking routes, visit morotur.no.
