Juvet Landscape Hotel is located in the idyllic landscape by Gubrandsjuvet in Valldal, about 90 minutes by car from the coastal town Ålesund. The innovative hotel is one of Norway's most distinctive, and gives an unique opportunity for activities both for groups, companies and individual guests.
The view is a real landscape painting
At the hotel you can choose between 7 landscape rooms, 2 "bird houses" built by minimalistic principles, or the "chalet writing room" (70 kvm). The writing room includes two bedrooms for up to four people, a living room, kitchen and a nice outdoor area towards the woods.
The room gives and incomparable view towards the valley, yard or the dramatic river that flows past. The architecture with it's glass walls and the location gives a close contact between the rooms and the surrounding landscape.
Autenthic food experiences
The dining and the living area is in the barn, with a open fireplace. The pig barn is the kitchen, and the old hay barn is rebuilt into an outdoor relaxing zone. Juvet base all their meals on local, seasonal, ingredients.
World class experiences
The hotel is easily accessible from highway 63 between Valldal and Trollstigen. From here it's a short distance to the impressive scenic route between the Geirangerfjord and Trollstigen.
Gudbrandsjuvet is a 5 m wide and 20-25 m deep canyon that the river Valldøla has spent thousands of years shaping. Here you can experience deep potholes and fantastical formations in the mountain, hidden between rocky mountain sides.
