Mark Geary
Irish singer-songwriter Mark Geary left Ireland with a one-way ticket to New York and a heart full of hope over twenty years ago. Five studio albums and three live albums later, touring and live performances remain Mark's lifeblood. His lyrics often go straight to the core, revealing a life of human emotional weakness, failed relationships, tenderness, hurt, atonement, lust and divorce.
Geary has performed on stage with artists such as John Prine, Joe Strummer, Elvis Costello, Glen Hansard, and Coldplay among others, in addition to extensive headlining tours in Europe and the US.His latest album ‘In The Time Of Locusts’ was released in February 2024.
Ola Kvaløy
Ola Kvaløy was once the lead singer and songwriter in the critically acclaimed indie pop band Lano Places, but his career took a different path and he ended up as an economics professor at the University of Stavanger. Whether it's life as an economics professor that he longs to leave behind remains to be seen, but the music came first anyway, and he has continued his search for the finest melodies.
Kvaløy released the album Any Other Life, produced by Morten Abel, in 2022. In September, he released the single Breathe Out, Breathe In.
Poor Edward
Poor Edward is a duo from Stavanger, consisting of brothers Kristian and Martin Rinde.
The duo has been going strong since 2007, with several releases, the latest album came out in 2021, and over a hundred gigs behind them, both on club stages, festivals and cultural centres.
The musical product served up by Poor Edward is varied; sometimes wistful and low-key, often energetic and uplifting, but always characterised by hope and melodic joy.
