Julie and Kaja are two adventurous sisters spending the weekend with their mum's friend Agnès, an accomplished children's author. When Agnès decides to take a nap, the girls discover a secret passage to the universe in their favourite book ‘The Kingdom of the Wind’. But it turns out that they themselves are transformed into fantasy animals and trapped inside the fictional universe. To get back home, they must find Sirocco, a mysterious and powerful person who rules the winds. This magical story marvels and delights with its poetry and eye-catching, dimension-travelling adventure. The film is recommended for anyone who loves Studio Ghibli's animated films, but it's also in the style of psychedelic works such as The Wild Planet and The Yellow Submarine.
