Since its inception in 2012, Electric Eye has explored increasingly atmospheric and boundless soundscapes. With four critically acclaimed albums behind them, including *Horizons* from 2020, they have established themselves as a unique name in both Norwegian and international music. The band consists of Øystein Braut (guitar/vocals), Njål Clementsen (bass), Anders Bjelland (synth) and Øyvind Hegg-Lunde (drums).

Dyp Tid is Electric Eye's fifth album. It was originally composed for Sildajazz 2022 - Haugesund International Jazz Festival - and premiered there in a wooden church from 1858. With a focus on church organ, synths and choir voices, the album moves through ambient minimalism, cosmic improvisations and psychedelic rock. The music explores existence in a universe where time extends far beyond human understanding.

The first taster from the album, *Mycelium*, is a 15-minute epic piece that weaves together live recordings from Skåre Church with studio jams from Duper Studio in Bergen. The song explores ideas of interconnectedness and nature, and includes contributions from mycologist Paul Stamets and others.
The album will be released on the UK's Fuzz Club Records on 15 November.
