MelLeffi Band

MelLeffi Band is a newly formed band that plays ‘Smooth Jazz’, jazz rock of the ear-friendly type originating from the US west coast in the 80s and 90s. The band is made up of musicians from Bryne and Stavanger; on bass we have Øystein Eldøy, well known in the local community from the Stavangerensemblet, among others. The piano is played by Dag Årsland, who has recently made a name for himself with Dag Årsland's Jazz Quartet on stage in the Stavanger area. Drums are played by Leiv Arve Lagestrand = Leffi, who is known from bands such as Jærrock and Ållveltes. Guitar is played by Ole Helmer Sjo = Melle, who lives in Fredrikstad and has appeared in Bryne with both Dag and Leffi in ‘Dei Heimvende’, a band with sporadic concerts in Bryne over the past 10 years.
