Live in a vibrant fishing village
Bulandsferie is located in a vibrant fishing village that has survived all the storms so far. The buildings are steeped in history and undeniably have soul in their walls. The wheelhouse is well over 120 years old, so here you can listen for the historic buzz and hear the sea lapping beneath the building. Each unit has its own melody.
Six rental units
Bulandsferie has six rental units, each with its own character.
The fisherman cabins
Spend the night in the beautiful fisherman cabins, Buatoppen, Sørbu or Nordbu. Each unit has two bedrooms with four beds. Buatoppen has a small loft in addition. Downstairs you'll find sledging space, a communal freezer, outdoor furniture and an outdoor fireplace that's great to use on cooler evenings.
Pernillebu
In the Pernillebu 1 and Pernillebu 2 sea house apartments, you'll find two bedrooms with 4 beds. There is a shared terrace with an entrance to these two units.
Pernille cabin
The last unit, Pernillehytta, has three bedrooms and six beds. Here you have a small terrace with associated outdoor furniture, in addition to being close to a shared outdoor area with Pernillebu. Here you'll find a quay, bow shed, bow bench and outdoor furniture.
Practical information
Bulandsferie offers final cleaning and bed linen for a fee. It is possible to hire 14 and 15 foot boats (with 5.5/9.9 hp engines). Bicycles and kayaks can also be hired.
Where is Bulandsferie located?
Bulandsferie is located in the island communities of Bulandet and Værlandet, which are Norway's westernmost inhabited island communities. Here you are close to fishing spots, a grocery store, a cycling paradise, a living art museum and great food experiences.
How to get to Bulandet
From Askvoll town centre, take the ferry to Værlandet. From Værlandet it is about 10 kilometres by road to Bulandsferie. For information about ferry routes, see fjord1.no
Caravans and tents
It is possible to park a car or pitch a tent by arrangement. If you're coming by boat, there's a nice guest harbour/berth you can use. Here you will have access to a shower/toilet.
