DNT Vindølbu mountain lodge

West of Røv (Rv 65 approx 9 km east of Skei, Surnadal) there will be a sign for Vindøldalen. Toll road approx 11 km to Pebua (NOK 50,-). 2,5 km further, to Langøysetra (nice bicycle road), path to Vindølbu (signs) exits just past Langøybekken. Approximately half an hour walk, furthest up the hill, you will find the cabin.

Vindølbu cabin is own and run by Kristiansund and Nordmøre Trekking Association, and is situated just east of the big bridge past Langøysetra, 500 metres above sea level. The cabin is self serviced and open all year.

9 beds in 3 bedrooms, 2 in living room, 6 at the loft, 17 beds all together.

From Vindølbu there is a grande view south and west with mountains over 1400 metres. In the south-west you can see Fruhøtta (1435 m) and Blånebba (1421 m), and just across the valley Langøyfjellet (921 m) and Kufjellet (1005 m). Great starting point for nice daytrips summer as well as winter.

Marked path to the cabin Hermann over Bollen (805 m). Further the path is marked past Breiskarsetrene and to Breiskaret for Trondjems Trekking Association's route Gråsjøen - Trollheimshytta. From there the path moves further to Bosvasshøgda and to the cabin Trollheim. These routes are connection routes Trollheimen - Fjordruta south.
