The cabin lies within the Lusaheia Landscape Protection Area, and the surrounding terrain consists of smooth-sculpted gneiss and granite with sparse vegetation, but a large number of boulders in return.

The area is a traditional hunting ground for wild reindeer. There are various traces of past hunting and travel here. One of these is Jensahidleren, located beneath a large boulder north of Årdals-Krymlevatnet.

Eidavatn is a self-serviced cabin with food storage and is accessible all year round.

There are 3 bedrooms with 4 bunk beds in each room, totaling 12 beds with duvets and pillows. In the loft, there are an additional 30 mattresses.
