Hytta at Krossvatnet is situated right in the heart of the Dyraheio Landscape Conservation Area - a classic hunting ground for the people of Suldal. The cabin is surrounded by fish-rich waters, and mighty mountain peaks like Grønafjell, Leirnuten, and Såta are within day trip distance. Near Nøvletjørn, there are remains of an old trapping pit, and around Nøvlenuten, there is a rich mountain flora.
Krossvatn is a self-service cabin with a food storage facility and is accessible all year round. It has 16 fixed beds with duvets and pillows, along with 12 additional mattresses in the loft.
