The campsite is open in the summer. The area where the campsite is located is a free area, and you are welcome to use the site and the beach all year round. There are marked hiking trails both north and south. Jæren Friluftsråd owns and operates Ølberg Camping. The income they have from the campsite goes to the administration of the campground and to maintain hiking areas in the region. To get the most out of the funds the outdoor council is allocated, it is great if people bring their garbage and leave the area tidy when you leave.
The campsite has five simple one-bedroom cabins. Each cabin has four beds, a fridge, a double hot plate and pots. Toilets and showers are available in common facilities. Bed linen is not included, but can be rented. It is not permitted to smoke or bring animals into the cabins. The cabins must be washed and ready for the next guest by 12.00.
