During springtime, the daffodil field next to Aukra church is in full bloom, and the annual kite festival takes place in Røaleira beach in the summer.
Falkeparken - falcon trapping and warhistory
The administrative centre of Aukra, Falkhytten, got its name from thef alcon trapping that took place during the Middle Ages.The falcon trapping hut got destroyed during the Second World War, when the area was used for building bunkers.
