Bryne
Ready for some small-town charm in the name of literature? Bryne has fostered many an author, one of them is author Arne Garborg, whose works have been translated into English. Or is football more your cup of tea? Famous football player Erling Braut Haaland is also from Bryne. Bryne is easily accessible, either by train some 30 minutes from Stavanger, or by car.
Åndalsnes
The mountain capital of Åndalsnes is located in the heart of Romsdalen. Here you will find a wide range of activities throughout the year. Travel with the Rauma line when you go on a summit hike or experience the famous attractions Trollstigen, Romsdalseggen and the viewpoint Rampestreken.
Valldal - The Adventure Valley
The strawberry village Valldal is not only known for its sweet berries, but also as the adventure valley with activities the whole year through: kayaking, rafting, snowshoe trips and yoga. All of which you can do between Geiranger and the Trollstigen road.
Kristiansund
Kristiansund is located at the far end of the ocean gap's headland in northwestern Norway. Opera, delicious clipfish, the fishing village of Grip and the Opera Festival Weeks await visitors here. Kristiansund is referred to as the Atlantic City, as it is the closest city to one of the world's most scenic roadways - the Atlantic Road.
Sunnhordland UNESCO Global Geopark

Sauda municipality
Sauda Municipality is situated in the innermost reaches of Ryfylke. The town of Sauda is the center, and Svandalsfossen fall and Allmannajuvet zink mines are highlights along the Norwegian Scenic Route Ryfylke. Sauda is participating in the Sustainable Destination Program.
Sunndal
Sunndal is wild and beautiful, offering towering mountains and world-class waterfalls. These waterfalls are not just stunning to behold; they have also, along with hydropower, laid the foundation for Sunndal's modern industrial society. Sunndal is rightly called the "Kingdom of Waterfalls"!
Molde
Set between the attractions Romsdalseggen, Trollstigen and Atlanterhavsvegen is the fjord city of Molde, a pleasant small city with charm and atmosphere. Rennesøy and the green islands
Welcome to the unique archipelago located between the North Sea and the fjord-rich inner Ryfylke! This location provides great range and variety in nature and landscape. Here it is green and lush almost all year round, with nice and easy walks and good bathing places.
Sola
Sola is located near the ocean and it's home to the international airport, as well as one of the most historic fjords in the region, namely the Hafrsfjord. Discover the swords in rock - a large stone monument commemorating the large Viking battle that once took place here led by Viking king Harald Fairhair.
Skudeneshavn
Skudeneshavn is a small town (with town status) in Karmøy municipality, around 40 minutes by car from Haugesund. Parts of the town are designated a listed cultural environment, and have been awarded the St. Olav’s Rose for the preservation of Norwegian cultural heritage.
Kvitsøy
Island life can be great both summer and winter! A visit to this idyllic island out in the open sea gives you a feeling of tranquillity and closeness to nature. Just a short ferry ride away from Stavanger (Mekjarvik), and suddenly you are in Norway's smallest municipality, Kvitsøy.
Avaldsnes
Avaldsnes is a village of great historical importance, on the island of Karmøy just off Haugesund. Avaldsnes may be best known as the main seat of the Viking and first King of Norway, Harald Fairhair. However, kings and chieftains lived at Avaldsnes for thousands of years, all the way back to the early Bronze Age and throughout the Viking Age.
