It is possible to stay overnight at the Obrestad lighthouse. The houses that the lighthouse keepers used to live in have been refurbished and are now rented out. The exterior of the houses are as they were when the lighthouse was automated and vacated in 1991.
There are three houses available for accommodation:
- Rundehuset: This is a detached house with two living rooms, a large kitchen and a hallway on the ground floor. In the attic, there are three bedrooms with six beds and a toilet. There is a large bathroom in the basement. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge, dishwasher and crockery.
- Fyrmesterboligen: This is an apartment that has a large living room with a dining area, kitchen, three bedrooms, bathroom and toilet. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge, dishwasher and crockery.
- Hybelen (The studio apartment): This is a simpler accommodation and has a living room with a kitchenette. The kitchenette has a stove and fridge. The studio apartment has a bedroom with a 120 cm bed. There is a single bathroom and toilet.
It is also possible to rent the 1902 house for meetings and events. There is a large meeting room with seating for 24 people. The kitchen is fully equipped for 24 people. The meeting room has a screen and projector. The house is open to the public on Sundays when the lighthouse museum is open.
