At Vingarden på Jølst, the fruit wine producer Vestavin is working to transform West Norwegian berries, fruits and flowers to fruit wines that suit the modern palate. Founder Camilla Aasen is also hard at work transforming what used to be an old, abandoned farm into a fruitvineyard, in an attempt to demonstrate how these steep, little farms can be developed into something new.
Guided tours at Vingarden at Jølst
Camilla Vingarden will open in Jølst with a tour of the property and production facilities and a tasting of selected fruit wines from Vestavin's own production. There is also the opportunity for a non-alcoholic tasting.
Vestavin and Vingarden in Jølst stem from founder Camilla's desire to find new ways to utilise the various resources available in Western Norway. She will give you a warm welcome, show you around the farm, share her plans, ambitions and passions, as well as her knowledge of raw materials and production methods. During the summer, there will be various fruit wines to taste as new products are released for sale.
The tour and tasting lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. The farm shop will be open from 14.00, where you can buy fruit wines, soft drinks and other local products.
