Haugesund Airport Karmøy (HAU) is an international airport located on Karmøy, a 15-minute drive from Haugesund. The airport is an important gateway to Haugesund and Haugalandet, and has a lot of commuter traffic as well as holiday traffic. SAS, Norwegian, Wizzair and Widerøe are among the airlines that operate regular flights to and from Haugesund Airport Karmøy.

Transport to and from the airport

Transport options to/from the airport are taxi, hire car or own car. The local taxi companies Haugaland Taxi and Karmøy Taxi can be booked in advance, but also usually have taxis waiting outside the arrival hall.

Parking at Haugesund Airport Karmøy

You can park for free at Haugesund Airport Karmøy for up to 20 minutes. The parking has automatic number plate recognition which will start upon entry and end at exit. Payment beyond 20 minutes is made in Apcoa Flow within 48 hours of exit. At the airport, there are several parking spaces for people with reduced mobility (remember visible parking permits) as well as spaces for electric cars.

If you are going to park at the airport for a longer period of time, you can book parking here. You can choose between P2 (closest to the terminal) or P3 (suitable for longer stays).

Hire car from the airport

Sixt, Avis and Hertz are all represented at the airport. They are located in the domestic arrivals hall, where you can book and collect a car.

Need for assistance at the airport

The staff at the airport help passengers who require assistance. You will receive assistance if you need special services to get to and from the aircraft, use portable oxygen equipment, are dependent on a wheelchair, have impaired vision or hearing or have a guide dog.

Facilities at Haugesund Airport Karmøy

At the airport, you will find facilities such as restaurants (open at all departures), free Wi-Fi and three ATMs with various currencies. If you are flying abroad from Haugesund, you can visit the airport’s duty free shop.

The airport also has two meeting rooms ‘Harald Hårfagre’ and ‘Eirik Blodøks’ for hire if you would like to hold a meeting at the airport.
