Room layout
First floor: Entrance hall, spacious living room, dining room/meeting room, fully equipped modern kitchen, bathroom, storage room, terrace – and, of course, panoramic views!
Second floor: 4 bedrooms, bathroom, loft lounge, and breathtaking sea views.
You can book the entire house, with the option of self-catering or hiring a private chef. The minimum stay is 2 nights.
Olaskjeret – a gem in Austevoll
Olaskjeret is located in Bakkasundet on Storekalsøy, a small island rich in history. How to get to Olaskjeret
- Private boat: If you have your own boat, you can dock at Olaskjeret’s pier.
- By car:
From Bergen – It takes about 25 minutes to Krokeide ferry terminal from Flesland Airport, and about 35 minutes from Bergen city center. The ferry to Hufthammar takes 35 minutes, and from there it’s a 15-minute drive to Bakkasund.
From Stord – It’s about 30 minutes from Stord center to Sandvikvåg ferry terminal. The ferry to Husavik takes 20 minutes, followed by a 30-minute drive to Bakkasund. The boat trip to Olaskjeret takes one minute, and transportation can be arranged in advance. - Boat taxi: You can be picked up by boat wherever you prefer. Book well in advance.
- Express boat: There is an express boat from both Bergen city center (50 min) and Flesland quay (30 min) to Hufthammar ferry terminal. Olaskjeret will arrange car or boat transport from there to Olaskjeret (approx. 15 minutes).
- Helicopter: Want to arrive in style? The hosts can arrange helicopter transport if desired. Make sure to book well in advance.
