After last year's success and a glowing review, a new concert is being arranged with some new songs.
As November turns into December, right at the start of the Christmas season, when we light candles more often and wrap ourselves in many layers while our hearts are at their barest, we open a church space and invite you in.
60 minutes filled with an eclectic range of music spanning centuries, genres, and geographies. Music that belongs to Christmas, either because it was intended so by its creators, because it has become part of popular cultural traditions, or because it evokes personal Christmas memories.
Alongside violinist Bjarte Mo from the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Anya Aasebø has curated a very personal programme. Anya is well-known for touring for years with her interpretation of Karen Carpenter.
These two solo instruments—Bjarte’s violin and Anya’s distinctive deep velvet voice—bind it all together into a unique magic.
Performers:
Heine Røise / piano, guitar, arranger
Øystein Bru Frantzen / double bass, guitar
Jørgen Helliesen / percussion
Lillian Aasebø & Ole Thomas Hansen / dance performance
