Didrik Solli-Tangen (b. 1987) trained as a classical singer at the Barrat Due Music Institute in Oslo. He had his national breakthrough in 2010 when he won the Norwegian final of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘My Heart Is Yours’. Didrik has collaborated with several of the country's leading artists, songwriters and producers, as well as the Norwegian National Opera, Kringkastingsorkesteret, Arktisk Filharmoni and Oslo Filharmonien.
Didrik has sung duets with such greats as opera legend José Carreras and Eurovision winner Loreen. He has performed for the Royal Family on several occasions and was given the honour of singing at the funeral of former Prime Minister Kåre Willoch. Didrik has performed on several major Norwegian TV programmes.
In the spring of 2012, Solli-Tangen came out on top in the celebrity edition of the Norwegian reality competition 71° nord. For two seasons, he was also the host of ‘Skal vi danse’ on TV2 together with Katrine Moholt. In autumn 2017, he was one of the participants in the NRK programme Stjernekamp. He came second in the programme. In 2021, he took part in the second season of Maskorama on NRK, where he was the ‘Snow Monster’. Solli-Tangen ended up with a first place in the competition. The final was watched by over 1.2 million viewers.
Didrik Solli-Tangen plays to sold-out concert halls all over the country and has had great success with his summer concerts ‘Classic Summer’ and the Christmas concerts ‘O Helga Natt’. Didrik Solli-Tangen's voice is described as one of the country's greatest.
