Often referred to as ‘the Ozzy Osbourne of tango’, Omar Mollo is one of today's most recognised Argentine tango artists. His live performances are nothing short of spectacular, with each note filled with an intense interpretation that evokes emotions bordering on the theatrical - a quality that has been recognised by the prestigious Argentine newspaper Página12.
An exclusive artist with Sony Music Argentina since 2016, Mollo has amassed an impressive discography, rewarded with 7 Carlos Gardel awards and 3 Latin Grammy nominations. He is a regular guest at the biggest tango festivals in Argentina and in addition to his concert activities, he is also a tango professor at Codarts University in Rotterdam.
Together with two of Europe's most talented young tango musicians - Norwegian violinist Karl Espegard and French bandoneonist Lysandre Donoso - the Mollo Trio delivers a terrific repertoire of Argentine tango and folk music. This collaboration is evident in their critically acclaimed work on the Argentinian Grammy-nominated album ‘Manifiesto’ by Omar Mollo & El Muro Tango.
Karl Espegard is a virtuoso violinist and co-founder of the acclaimed tango ensemble El Muro Tango. The group's debut in front of a sold-out Royal Concertgebouw in 2019 marked the start of a successful career that has captivated audiences both in Europe and Argentina. Known for his expressive tone and playful style, Karl is equally at home in the world of tango and classical music.
Lysandre Donoso is an internationally recognised bandoneon virtuoso who has impressed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. With his refined style and captivating stage presence, he is one of Europe's most sought-after bandoneonists.
