Fint Fransk Orkester på Ogna Scene

This legendary orchestra returns to Ogna Scene! And what better place to host this fine and Francophile orchestra than the fine and Francophile cOGNAc?

Soyez les bienvenus! Fint Fransk Orkester is the closest you can get to Montmartre in Paris without having to leave Norway. With style, elegance, humour and virtuosity, they take you on a journey deep into the French chanson tradition and introduce you to a distinctive world of original songs and colourful characters. Fint Fransk Orkester is a feast for both eyes and ears, and once you've been seduced by their performance, you'll always want to come back.

Fint Fransk Orkester offers chansons and cabaret, string swing and hip hop, cœur et douleur (heart and pain), freshly polished trombone and newly tuned accordion, beautiful solo singing and delicious duets. The repertoire primarily features tunes and lyrics penned by the orchestra itself, but you can also expect quirky interpretations of French predecessors such as Serge Gainsbourg, Charles Trenet and Django Reinhardt.

Fint Fransk Orkester is based in Stavanger and consists of Eva Bjerga Haugen (vocals/keys), Dominique Brackeva (vocals/trombone), Johan Egdetveit (accordion), Andreas Barsnes Onarheim (guitar/vocals) and Theodor Barsnes Onarheim (double bass).

The band released their debut album on 20 February 2020 and their second album on 27 October 2022. FFO = five Francophile jazz musicians who offer both music and stage shows, and who have gradually become quite famous in their hometown of Stavanger for their energetic live performances. They have toured under the auspices of Vestnorsk Jazzsenter and Den Kulturelle Skolesekken, they have played at legendary chanson clubs in Paris, at a number of jazz clubs, venues and cultural centres in the west, south and east of Norway, and have two albums behind them, both to rave reviews. Last autumn, they also played in Oslo at Cosmopolite with the French ambassador herself in attendance!

ARE YOU COMING BY TRAIN?

It's not a long walk from Ogna station to Ogna Scene (15 min) but with Ogna Scene's Shuttle bus service, they pick up and drop off their fantastic audience members who are going to Ogna Scene at Ogna train station completely free of charge.

They arrange it so that those who take the train from Stavanger will be picked up at 12.50 (approx.). From Egersund 13.36 (approx.).

They will also bring you to the station after the concert.

Ogna Scene wants to make it easy and comfortable for you.

NB. They only have one car... If there are many people to be driven, there may be a 5-10 minute wait.
