About the Concert

In spring 2024, Frida packed The Norwegian Opera and Ballet twice, receiving overwhelming feedback. This autumn, she embarks on a new tour across Norway with her band: Andreas Vold Løwe on piano, Haldor Røyne on guitars, and Jo Berger Myhre on bass.

On February 9, Frida released her sixth album, "VI", to stellar reviews from critics and audiences. This folk album showcases Frida's unique ability to convey stories through lyrics, blending folk tunes with tight pop structures. Inspired by both modern and traditional love, the album features influences from artists like Halldis Moren Vesaas, Robyn, Haim, Joni Mitchell, Cezinando, Anne Grete Preus, Valkyrien Allstars, Christine and the Queens, Masåva, Phoebe Bridgers, and Laura Marling.

"VI" is Frida's first album of original material since Flyge fra (2017). Since then, she has released a collection of reinterpretations and covers on Andre sanger (2019), collaborated on the cover Hvis verden (2020) with Chris Holsten, composed music for Hvem skal trøste knøttet at Oslo Nye Teater, and performed duets with Nils Bech and Moddi. In autumn 2023, she contributed the track Vrimmel to the tribute album Møtested honoring Anne Grete Preus.

Frida blends tradition with innovation, fitting into yet challenging the role of a folk singer. She has performed nationwide, including sold-out shows at Rockefeller and Sentrum Scene.

Press Reviews for "VI":

"One of the country's most delicate and expressive voices, making a strong impression with these poetic songs" - Dagsavisen
