One year after its first public event, UlvUlv Scene marks the anniversary with a grand concert with Helgetoftsorkesteret - the band that started it all.
Helge Toft: Hitmaker and record holder
Helge Toft, a well-known artist from Haugesund, has had a remarkable career. In 2012, he set a world record with 65 concerts in one day during the release of his second solo album, ‘Perler’. The album included popular songs such as ‘Stopp meg’ and ‘Ingen problemer’, both of which became favourites on NRK P1.
From MÅNEN to a solo career
Toft's musical journey started in the 90s as the frontman of the power pop band MÅNEN, known for sing-along songs such as ‘Lene’, ‘Ti på halv fem’ and ‘Solå går opp’. After going solo, he had his big breakthrough with the hit ‘Ingen Tårer’ in 2004.
Success with the Helgetoftsorkesteret
In recent years, Toft has performed all over the country, including reaching the final of a NRK programme that was the precursor to ‘Stjernekamp’. With his regular band, Helgetoftsorkesteret, he has also had success supporting A-ha and Roxette, as well as headlining major festivals such as RockFest.
New music and festival appearances
With the singles ‘Verden e stille’ and ‘Kom hjem igjen’ listed on NRK P1, Helgetoftsorkesteret has strengthened its position in the music world. This summer they headlined the Saturday at Vikedal Roots Festival and released the single ‘Vil du bli min’
