ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE

After a spectacular sold-out show in 2023 at a secret location for over 550 spectators, Stavangeren and THE PRETENTIOUS KANTS are proud to present a new, exhilarating world of musical theatre.

I'M A WOMAN is a jazz cabaret production featuring a 15-piece big band, led by Australia's cabaret queen, JEAN BRIGITTE. I'M A WOMAN is about not having to conform. It's about being yourself; being brave, being strong, not being afraid of your own sensuality or individuality... and being unapologetic in your feminine power.

It's a man's world, lovers. But it wouldn't be nothing without a woman or a girl.

But what would the world be without women and girls? I'M A WOMAN features arrangements of songs by Shirley Bassey, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Julie London, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Melody Gardot, Nina Simone, and Eartha Kitt. Imagine you are in a theater in New York in the 1940s. Imagine you are in Las Vegas back in the day. Imagine you are at the Moulin Rouge when it all began.

The Pretentious Kants will perform TWO shows on November 7:

6 PM: An exclusive preview performance open to all ages

9 PM: A VIP performance with limited admission for adults only. Enjoy bubbles upon arrival, a performance by magician Sid Quatrine, and an afterparty following the show.
