Jonas Alaska

Jonas Alaska is one of his generation's strongest songwriters in this country and is behind unforgettable songs like "October," "If Only as a Ghost," "In The Backseat," and "Morning Light." He was triple Spellemann-nominated for his debut album and has since released five albums, all of which have been received with glowing reviews, both in and outside of Norway.

Those who have followed Alaska know that he has been in a couple of unusually productive and inspired musical periods in recent years. After the release of the critically acclaimed album Roof Came Down in the fall of 2020, Jonas Alaska sat down with a blank slate and the intention to write pop songs for other artists. During the process, however, he became so fond of the songs that he decided they would make up his seventh studio album, Girl, which was released in November 2021.

The first single, "Light Switch," was the first song released from the album before the summer and was fantastically received by both old and new fans. Both this and the next two singles, "You Don't Know How To Dance" and "Minute," received radio listings on NRK P3, P13, and P1, as well as plenty of streams on various platforms.
