Thorbjørn Egner's beloved story about the tooth trolls, Karius and Baktus, who have settled in Jens' mouth.
Jens loves sweets and often skips brushing his teeth, which has led to a cavity that's perfect for Karius and Baktus' new home. The tooth trolls live happily there, being served their favorite food: white bread with syrup! They sing and hum as they drill and hammer away at Jens' tooth to make their home bigger and better. They even have grand plans for more houses and underground tunnels.
Then, disaster strikes! One day, Jens gets terrible tooth pain, and his mother tells him to brush his teeth. Karius and Baktus try to stop him, but he doesn't listen. Suddenly, living in Jens' mouth is no longer as fun for the tooth trolls.
The performance is traditional but includes some modern twists that make it entertaining for both children and adults.
