Kraften - a performance about actors and gender roles
Scenekraft's production ‘Kraften’ explores the acting profession and gender roles in both art and society. Actor Nina Sele takes the audience into Ibsen's world, where she highlights Fredrikke Nielsen, a pioneering actress from Tysvær. Together with her colleague Håkon Karoliussen, Sele dives into Nielsen's life choices, roles and artistic drive.
Historical actors and gender roles
By mirroring her own profession with Nielsen's time, Sele reflects on changes in the view of women in the arts.
Support and co-operation
The production receives support from Rogaland County Council, Fritt Ord and Haugesund Sparebank, among others.
