Many associate the word grief with death, but what about the grief we experience in other areas of life? The losses and longing that arise when we lose parts of ourselves? What about when things don’t turn out as planned—illness, being a caregiver, relationship breakdowns, loss of family life, involuntary childlessness, loss of a job or work ability, dreams that didn’t come true? The grief of losing oneself, one’s present, and one’s future.
Psychologist and author Janette Røseth will talk about:
How do you get back up after life knocks you down? When life takes unexpected U-turns? How can you live with life grief and the changes that come with it? How can resilience become a part of your new everyday life? The lecture addresses the type of grief most people will experience at some point in life, and how to best handle it and live well despite it. In addition to being a specialist psychologist, Janette Røseth is also a caregiver and lives with chronic pain. She will share her own experiences, as well as from her work with others.
