Masåva på Tou i Stavanger Øst

Masåva made a striking debut in 2018 with a Spellemann nomination for their self-titled debut album. Their follow-up album, "Er vi store nok nå?" received positive reviews and was ranked the 6th best album of 2021 by Gaffa.no. It has been described as a musical and lyrical treasure chest.

The band is characterized by its acoustic, driving sound with original vocal harmonies in Norwegian. The reflective lyrics, touching on the human experience as a species and individuals, belonging to an environment, and all-encompassing love from a young perspective, play a central role in their music. These themes are elevated in a shifting landscape of dreamy and more intense, hypnotic sounds.

Masåva creates magic from everyday problems, dreams, sorrow, and love. Their songs exist in a unique space between folk tunes, ballads, and jazz, where honest lyrics, catchy riffs, and gripping melodies can move mountains.

In October, they will release their third album, "Dagen vi så på skatere", on Braveheart Records, and have already received great praise for the singles released so far.
