Ogna Gje Jazz! Festival presents:
Music for a while!!
What particularly characterizes Music for a While is the ensemble's personal, organic, and creative approach to the material. Whether the starting point is Kurt Weill's famous cabaret melodies or songs and pieces from the classical repertoire, two elements stand out: vocalist Tora Augestad's unique ability to communicate and control her voice, and the band's playful and humorous handling of the material, with a sound that is both sonically rich and improvisational.
Music for a While is a unique ensemble that operates at the intersection of improvisation and written music, offering genre-crossing and timeless interpretations of the classical song treasure.
