A friend of Norway is a term with both favourable and unfavourable associations. But in the case of Oscar Danielson, it's safe to say that the likeable Swede is one of the very best friends we have! Oscar Danielson is a genre in his own right, and considered by many to be Sweden's best lyricist.
After the album ‘Stockholm i mitt hjärta’ (2011) with the song ‘Besvärjelse’, he has gained an increasingly large audience and toured extensively throughout Scandinavia.
In November 2014, he warmed up for Bjørn Eidsvåg in a packed Oslo Spektrum, and there are many times when 9,000 people are as attentive as they were then. Shortly afterwards, he performed on NRK's ‘Lindmo’, and once again Danielson's universe of songs thrilled and fascinated the Norwegian public.
Now the Stockholm-born 49-year-old returns to us with a show that evokes laughter as well as tears. The theme is - of course - women. These are songs about love, full of seriousness and deeply human observations, spiced with the humour that is Oscar's trademark. Eva Weel Skram has made a version of Oscar's song ‘Besvärjelse’ with Norwegian lyrics, ‘Vi Lover’
