Stavanger International Piano Festival in collaboration with Culture for All, Stavanger Municipality organises an open, free piano workshop for all children and young people in Stavanger Municipality. The project is designed to give young people the opportunity to explore the world of music through piano playing, while developing creativity, community and a sense of mastery. There are no requirements for prior knowledge of the piano.
The aim is to create a low-threshold meeting place and arena for young people who want to explore the piano as an instrument. In particular, work towards those young people who do not have a regular leisure activity after school. Create a safe meeting place with safe adults where the focus is also on socialising and inclusion. A place where young people experience a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
