The Story of Stavanger – 900 Years in the Blink of an Eye.
The history of Stavanger began with the construction of the cathedral, moving through the Middle Ages, herring fishing, the age of sailing ships, and the oil era. 900 years of lived history in Stavanger lie behind us. In 2025, the city's 900th anniversary will be celebrated. But are we, the people living here now, updated on the city’s history and development? If you need a quick refresher on the city's past, the autumn's major anniversary revue at the Humorhouse Stavangeren is the perfect choice. Here you’ll get the whole history in a brief moment! After this experience, you’ll step into the anniversary year with fresh knowledge of our city.
If you're mainly after two hours of celebration, fun, music, laughter, and joy, then The Story of Stavanger in the Blink of an Eye is also the right choice. Two of the city's humour legends, Pål Hjelm and Pål Mangor Kvammen, together with revue newcomer Rudi Bjørknes Gundersen, will provide a solid dose of pre-Christmas entertainment. The show also features a lovely orchestra with five talented musicians, led by none other than Jan Hauge.
