The Pillow Man
A writer in a totalitarian state is brought in for interrogation. Several brutal child murders have occurred, eerily mirroring the plots of some of the writer's short stories. Has art been imitated, or is there something deeper at play?
The story unfolds in a cascade of whimsical twists and shocking turns. Truth and justice evaporate like gasoline on a fire. The play delves into the relationship between art and morality, questioning what happens when imagination intrudes upon reality.
Idun Losnegård takes the lead in this dark comedy, hailed as a masterpiece by British-Irish playwright Martin McDonagh.
