Ten years ago, Thomas Dybdahl made a decision to embark on a kind of eternal solo tour and become so good at it that it would never feel like a budget version of a concert with a band. He wanted to try and capitalise on the strengths of such an evening, the bond you could form with the audience, the places you could play and the freedom you could give yourself when playing the songs completely solo. Since then, he has played virtually everywhere in the country, from the Opera in Oslo to Trevarefabrikken in Henningsvær, Lofoten, to Nidaros Cathedral, Trondheim. He has become incredibly fond of playing these solo concerts and is really looking forward to continuing the tour. He now has a considerable number of songs to choose from and each night is different from the other, which keeps it exciting for both the audience and him.

"Thomas Dybdahl is one of our best and most high-profile musicians. With his wonderful albums, he has consolidated his position as one of Norway's great artists and songwriters.

Twenty years ago, Thomas Dybdahl sat with his first solo album "...That Great October Sound" in his hands. The album was a turning point in his career, with excellent reviews, a Spellemann Award and an Edvard Award.

VG wrote in their review of his debut album "Dybdahl alone is an unprecedented revelation with tender, beautiful songs performed with the same, almost whispering intensity that made Jeff Buckley a household name - just listen to the opening track "From Grace"!".

A solo concert with Thomas Dybdahl is a chance to hear his songs as they were originally created. In addition to presenting classics from a long career, he also plays newly released and newly written material at his solo concerts.
