Historical building
The house where Bistro to kokker's café and fast food restaurant is located was built by Sheriff Landmark shortly after the town of Florø was founded in 1860. He immediately sold it to U.J Høst, who was the district doctor in Kinn and Florø's first mayor. It is said that the poet Knut Hamsun spent the night here. In his book "Tramps" he describes a visit to Mrs Evanger's wine tavern up in the next block. Over the years, the house has been used as a shop and office. The longest tradition was created by the businessman Ludv. Sundal who, in addition to running a grocery store with, among other things, ship's provisions, also built a new large seahouse in 1920. This later became known as Sundalsbua. The building was later bought by Atle and Bjørn Hollevik and was demolished in 1988. The house has since been rebuilt with the same facade from that time.
