MILK Bar & Lounge is situated on an old ferry quay outside the harbour of Ålesund centre, Skansekaia. You are literally sitting right in the middle of the canal! Enjoy the view while being served refreshing drinks from an extensive bar menu.

The historical name "MILK" comes from the time when Skateflua was a rallying point for the delivery of milk and products from the fjord farms and the islands around Ålesund. This was the place to catch up with news and gossip about what was going on – with conversations and trade hand in hand.

Today, trade is no longer taking place at the quay, but it is certainly back as a place to gather – in the form of a bar & lounge with international standard, dedicated barkeepers and a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy the view of the canal Brosundet, or turn your gaze downwards towards the glass floor and discover the underwater life under the quay. When the temperature allows it, you can be served outside next to the water, or we open the roof and let the sun shine indoors.  

MILK is perfect for an aperitif prior to a delicious dinner, as a place to breathe between your tasks or as a place to bring your business associates for a refreshing conversation.
