The trip starts at Lensmansgarden in Innfjorden and follows the valley towards Berill. Turn off onto the Bøstølveien road after about 7 km. The road winds its way along gorges and waterfalls up a steep hillside. The paved road turns into a gravel road at Herdsla, which makes for easy cycling terrain into the mountains. At Berillvatnet lake, you pass Berillstølen summer pasture farm and continue along the river until you come to a fork in the road. Turn right here onto the bridge across Røstaelva river. The road quickly leads to the summer pasture farms at Bøstølen. The old pasture farms are straight out of a Norwegian fairy tale! There are benches where you can sit and enjoy your packed lunch surrounded by impressive mountains. If you venture further into the mountains, you will find cabins, turf-roofed shelters, fishing boats and fishing oppor-tunities.
