Cinema programme and info
Edda Kino cinema is open every day throughout the year, except Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. The cinema programme spans a wide range of genres and between eight and fifteen films are screened each day. There are daytime screenings every Tuesday starting at 12:00. Tickets are available about 7-10 days in advance.
From Thursday to Sunday, certain screenings are designated 18+ as the KinoBaren cinema bar is open.
Tickets can be purchased on the cinema's website or app, or from the friendly staff at the cinema kiosk.

Cinema as a social arena
As well as regular film screenings, the cinema also hosts premieres, afternoon teas, ladies’ night, baby cinema, knitting cinema and much more. See upcoming events on the cinema's website or app. Edda also rents auditoriums to companies and private individuals. Birthday celebrations at the cinema are also immensely popular.
5 of 7 Auditoriums with Premium and Comfort Upgrades
In 2024, the cinema underwent a significant upgrade. Five out of seven auditoriums now feature a comfort or premium concept. There’s also a spacious foyer with seating and a cinema bar.
The Norwegian Film Festival
Since 1987, Edda has been the main venue for the Norwegian Film Festival held each August.
